Sometimes, you read a book and it fills you with this weird evangelical zeal, and you become convinced that the shattered world will never be put back together unless and until all living humans read the book. And then there are books like An Imperial Affliction, which you can’t tell people about, books so special and rare and yours that advertising your affection feels like betrayal
i don’t think there’s anything better than when you’re reading a book and you get so into it that you start feeling like the character yourself. the way they feel, their attitude, what they’re seeing. it just amazes me how something as simple as a book with words can affect you so much. it’s like you’re into a whole other universe, one that you’re exploring into. i just love it so much, i just simply love it.
Read as much as you can. Nothing will help you as much as reading.
